City Council
The Westfield City Council is the legislative branch of government. The Council's primary functions are to pass the city's laws (ordinances) and approve the budgets and spending of money collected by the city.

Clerk-Treasurer
Marla Ailor, a 24-year resident of Westfield, is the elected City Clerk-Treasurer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and is a member of the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada from which she earned the credential of Certified Public Investment Manager. The duties of Clerk-Treasurer are of both an administrative and financial nature.

Communications
The Communications Department is the primary hub for media inquiries, coordinating interviews, providing information about City topics, programs, services, and events, and conducting news conferences. Our team serves as the connector between the media and the City of Westfield in providing responsive communication.

Community Development
The department is responsible for facilitating the vision of the City of Westfield's Comprehensive Plan. The department provides planning and community development services.

Fire Department
The community of Westfield established its first fire department on April 29th, 1904. The town voted to purchase the first hand drawn chemical fire engine for the community. The first fire chief was R.E. Johnson, and he took his post in May.

Human Resources
The City of Westfield provides a wide variety of benefits. Eligibility is dependent on your employment status and date of employment. Health, dental and vision coverage is provided by the City to eligible employees. The City also contributes a generous portion of these premiums for employee and dependent coverage. Life Insurance is also provided at no cost to eligible employees.

Westfield Welcome is committed to serving our residents and visitors by planning events and offering engagement opportunities. Last year, the City of Westfield hosted over 45,000 attendees at our community events and over 3,500 volunteer hours to make them happen.
