Criminal Investigations
The mission of the Criminal Investigations Division is to conduct thorough investigations into reported crimes by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and following leads to solve cases. Our team members are dedicated to using all available resources to solve crimes, improve the quality of life, and ensure the safety of our community by apprehending and seeking prosecution of those who commit crimes.

Patrol
The Westfield Police Department Patrol Division is the largest and most visible unit of the department, serving as the first line of response to calls for service and community interaction. The Patrol Division is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the City of Westfield, through 24/7 coverage.

Records
The Records Division is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of records kept in response to daily police activity, which requires the knowledge to uphold the records management system. The division is also responsible for processing and complying with public access requests for records, subpoenas, as well as other court orders.

The Special Services division is focused on keeping our department and officers prepared, equipped, and ready to support the community in every way we can. Special Services handles the behind-the-scenes work that ensures officers have the training, tools, and resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.
