Benefits for Full-Time Employees
The City of Westfield provides a wide variety of benefits. Eligibility is dependent on your employment status and date of employment. Health, dental, and vision coverage is provided by the City to eligible employees. The City also contributes a generous portion of these premiums for employee and dependent coverage. Life Insurance is also provided at no cost to eligible employees.
Retirement & Pension Plans
The City has different pension plans for which employees may qualify. Full-time employees are covered under the Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF) or the '77 Police and Fire PERF. The City also offers a volunteer tax-deferred 457 Retirement Plan that employees may use to supplement their retirement.
Employee Assistance Program
The City contracts with an Employee Assistance Program to give all employees and their families professional consultation and assistance in resolving problems that may be affecting their personal lives or their job performance. Also included are legal assistance and miscellaneous ready-to-use forms.
