Towed Vehicle Release

If your vehicle was towed and no hold was placed on it, you can go directly to the towing company and arrange for its release through them. If you need to know which towing company has your vehicle, please contact 317-804-3200. We work with the following towing companies on a rotating basis.

Please call to see which lot your vehicle is located at. If your vehicle has been held for investigative purposes or for invalid registration, it will need to be released by someone from the Westfield Police Department before the towing company will release your vehicle back to you. Please enter the first set of doors to the Public Safety Building pick up the phone on the left side wall and press two for assistance.

We can only release it to the registered owner of the vehicle. Please bring your driver's license or State-issued ID and valid registration. If you are not the registered owner, we will need a notarized letter or form signed by the registered owner giving permission for the vehicle to be released to you.
