Adopt-a-Street Program

City of Westfield's Adopt-a-Street Program Adopt-A-Street

The City of Westfield’s Adopt-a-Street Program allows local individuals, families, businesses, neighborhood associations, organizations, churches, and community groups to perform a valuable community service by adopting sections of a city street to keep clear of litter and debris. Groups who participate in the Adopt-a-Street Program will have their name recognized with a personalized street sign installed on their adopted street.

The Adopt-a-Street Program is free and open to those willing to adopt a one-way mile stretch of road and agree to remove litter two (2) times per year. Participants may renew their adopted streets every two years, provided program requirements are met. The city will provide groups with safety vests, trash grabbers, nitrile gloves, trash bags, and a first aid kit per cleanup session. Groups will complete a post-project clean-up form to submit to the city. Participating youths must be at least 12 years of age and have parental permission. The Adopt-a-Street Program promotes community pride by demonstrating to residents, tourists, and businesses that the community is active, energetic, and cares about a clean and safe environment.

Program Eligibility Requirements

Register: One designated point of contact is needed and will register on behalf of the group.
