  • Effective January 1, 2023: A $75 inspection fee will be assessed for Temporary Certificates of Occupancy for Final Zoning and Erosion/Infrastructure Final Inspections. After May 15th of the following year, this fee will recur weekly until inspections are passed as complete.

Building Department Information

• Westfield does not schedule same-day inspection requests.
• Inspections can be scheduled between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday except holidays.
• Inspections begin at 8 am and end at 4 pm. Noon to 1 is closed for the lunch hour.
• The daily limit for Rough-in and Final inspections is twenty-five (25). After that threshold is met the inspections can be scheduled for the next available, or specific, date.
• The only timed inspections offered are those for Footings and Commercial Finals.
  • Footing Inspections are scheduled between 9 am to  3 pm (Noon to 1 closed for the lunch hour.)
  • Please call 317-804-3150 option 5 for all Commercial Finals inspection requests.
• Please Note: Same-day cancellations for scheduled inspections (8 am to 4 pm) will result in a fee equal to that of a failed inspection.
  • This will apply to all inspections, except for footings.
