Record Infrastructure Investment Begins Soon


Westfield, IN (March 21, 2025) — The City of Westfield is pleased to provide the following anticipate schedule for its 2025 road construction season. These projects include new roundabouts and improvements to the city’s trail network.

“My administration is focused on improving our infrastructure and projects like these are vital to our community,” stated Mayor Scott Willis. “The construction season has a limited window in Indiana, and there will be record investment in much needed improvement projects occurring this summer. Please be patient as we navigate through the city.”

Roadway Projects
151st St & Towne Rd Roundabout (80 days*)
Full closure; projected to start no later than April 7

2025 Concrete Patching (Bridlewood Subdivision)
No Closure; Start Date: by mid-April, completed by May 30

161st St & Spring Mill Rd Roundabout (60 days*)
Full closure; projected to start May 1; project includes pedestrian bridge over John Edwards Drain

181st St & Wheeler Rd Roundabout (45 days*)
Full closure; projected to start May 27
 
Old 146th St & Towne Rd Roundabout
2 phase closure; Summer 2025

171st St & Ditch Rd Roundabout
Summer 2025

Mule Barn Road Widening
Fall 2025

Trail Projects
Monon Tunnel
161st Street will remain open to traffic; Monon Trail will have a detour; Summer 2025

161st St Trail (Oak Rd to Carey Rd)
No closure; Summer/Fall 2025

151st St Trail (Oak Rd to Bridlewood Subdivision)
Fall 2025
