City of Westfield recognizes Veterans Day poster and essay contest winners
Westfield, IN (November 11, 2025) — The City of Westfield hosted its annual Veterans Day Ceremony Tuesday morning where the winners for the Poster & Essay Contest, presented by Community Health Network, were recognized. The contest, which was created to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans, was open to all students residing in Westfield or Washington Township, whether they attend a public, private, or home-based learning program.
“It was incredible to see the passion and hard work each child put into their poster or essay,” said Mayor Scott Willis. “I’m proud to see how our young people honored the brave men and women who served this nation in such a creative and heartfelt way.”
One winner was selected from each grade in which there were submission (kindergarten – 12th grade). Students received a monetary prize, courtesy of Community Health Network.
