Westfield’s Memorial Day Ceremony to be held May 23rd
Westfield, IN (May 7, 2024) — The community is invited to join the City of Westfield for a Memorial Day remembrance ceremony for those who have given their lives for our country. The ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 at the Fallen Hoosier Heroes Memorial at 401 N. Union Street.
“Memorial Day honors the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country,” said Westfield Mayor Scott Willis. “We are forever grateful for their selfless sacrifices and the sacrifices of their families. We hope that you are able to join us to pay respects to those we have lost.”
Those interested in attending in person should arrive before the start of the program.
The ceremony will be emceed by Lisa Wilken, Air Force Veteran and Board member, Indiana Veteran Support Council and will feature a number of distinguished speakers, including Mayor Willis.
Parking is available at Christ United Methodist Church and will serve as a rain location in the event of inclement weather. There will be shuttle service available for those that need assistance.
