Westfield’s popular Winter 5K race returns on February 21
Westfield, IN (January 21, 2026) — The City of Westfield’s popular Melt the Trail 5K, presented by The Farmers Bank, returns on Saturday, February 21. The race, coordinated by the City’s event team, Westfield Welcome, starts at 10:30 a.m. at Grand Junction Brewing Co. (1189 E. 181st Street).
“Melt the Trail is one of our most beloved events of the year for a reason,” said Mayor Scott Willis. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to get outside, spend time with your community, and find your new favorite trail route.”
Runners, joggers, and walkers will kick off at Grand Junction Brewing, then head onto the course along Westfield’s award-winning trail system. After the race, participants are invited to attend the post-race celebration at the brewery. Children and leashed dogs are also welcome to join.
The race registration fee is $40 and includes a long-sleeve race shirt, finisher's medal, post-race snacks, one free drink ticket (21+), a timed route, and the opportunity to win an age-group award. The registration fee will increase to $45 on February 2 and to $50 on February 16. Race day registration is also available on-site at Grand Junction Brewing from 9 – 10:15 a.m. To guarantee receiving a long-sleeve race shirt, participants must register by February 3.
Early packet pick-up will be available at The Farmers Bank (17370 Farmers Bank Way) on Thursday, February 19 and Friday, February 20 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Participants may also pick-up their packets on race day at Grand Junction Brewing from 9– 10:15 a.m.
