The Ice Ribbon Returns to Grand Junction Plaza

Westfield, IN (November 7, 2025) — The Ice Ribbon is back at Grand Junction Plaza, just in time to bring wintertime fun to downtown Westfield from November 22 through January 3. The synthetic ice, also known as Glice, lets guests skate in any weather, making it perfect for families and first-time skaters alike.

“Our Parks Department has done a fantastic job of transforming Grand Junction Plaza into a winter wonderland, even when it hasn’t snowed yet,” said Mayor Scott Willis. “I’m looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to have fun on the Glice, whether it’s a warm sunny day or a snowy one.”

Each 90-minute skating session must be reserved online in advance. Tickets are $12 for ages 11 and older, and $10 for ages 10 and younger. Each ticket fee includes skate rental and optional skate aids for beginners (processing fees apply). ADA accessible sleds are also available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis.

New this year, little ones can skate alongside and take pictures with their favorite characters at Meet and Greets on the Glice at no additional cost. All meet and greets run from 1 – 3 p.m.

  • Saturday, November 29: Bluey
  • Saturday, December 13: Buddy the Elf
  • Wednesday, December 24: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
  • Saturday, January 3: Frosty the Snowman

Additional skating hours will be offered during Westfield’s winter break from December 22 through January 3.

The Ice Ribbon is located at the north end of Grand Junction Plaza (225 S. Union Street). All skaters must check-in for their session at the Grand Junction Café Pavillion building.

Free parking is available west of Park Street and Poplar Boulevard on designated on-street spots (Jersey, Mill, and Park Streets), and in The Union parking garage, which is accessible via Mill Street. The first three hours of parking at the garage are free.
