Get ready for tail-wagging fun at Barktoberfest

Westfield, IN (September 26, 2025) — Barktoberfest, presented by Community First Bank, returns to Asa Bales Park (205 W. Hoover Street) on Saturday, October 11 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for a day full of tail-wagging fun benefiting the Humane Society for Hamilton County.

Your four-legged friends (and their humans) are invited to take part in Westfield’s longest running dog-themed event where you can enjoy:

  • The Mutt Mart, packed with pet-related vendors
  • An agility course for adventurous dogs
  • Complimentary pet portraits
  • Caricature artists to capture your dog’s unique personality

In addition, pups (and their people) can put their best paws forward by participating in the crowd-favorite costume contests. Costume contests are free to enter and will be hosted every half hour, 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 pm., throughout the event. The entry categories are best duo / group, silliest, and spookiest; prizes will be awarded to each category’s winner.

The Humane Society for Hamilton County will be on-site with adoptable pets looking for their fur-ever homes. New this year will be the opportunity to participate in the 50/50 Fetch, an exciting twist on the classic 50/50 raffle! Attendees may purchase a $10 tennis ball for a chance to win half the jackpot in a one-of-a-kind event that combines fun and four-legged friends. All tennis balls must be purchased at the Humane Society for Hamilton County tent during the event. The winning tennis ball will be selected by one of our Westfield Police Department K9 officers at 1:45 p.m.

Tickets to attend are $8 per person in advance, and $10 on the day of the event (online or at the door). Children ages 5 and younger are always free. Dogs do not need a separate ticket. Ticket proceeds directly support The Humane Society for Hamilton County. The first 200 visitors to the Community First Bank tent will receive a complimentary wag bag filled with coupons and other treats.
