“What’s Happening Here” gets updated signage

Westfield, IN (July 16, 2025) — The City of Westfield has introduced a new and improved system for public notice signage across the community, making it easier for residents and business owners to stay informed about upcoming public hearings and proposed developments.

These newly designed signs are now being posted on properties throughout Westfield to announce public hearings for various projects, as new applications come in. Each sign features a prominently displayed QR code and web address that allows residents to instantly access detailed information about the project, view meeting schedules, and read agendas.

To further simplify the process, each sign includes a specific letter and color combination that identifies the type of project being reviewed. This innovative visual system gives community members a quick, at-a-glance way to understand what kind of development is being proposed in their area.

“These new public notice signs are about more than just compliance,” stated Mayor Scott Willis. “They’re about making government more accessible. We want residents and business owners to know what’s happening in their neighborhoods, and this signage system is a clear and user-friendly way to help them stay engaged.”

Agendas for each meeting are posted online the Thursday prior to the scheduled date. A full list of upcoming meeting dates and notices can be found on the City of Westfield’s website by visiting westfieldin.gov/notice.
